QUALITY CERTIFICATE OF MIMÍKOKÓ JEWELRY

QUALITY CERTIFICATE FOR JEWELRY WITH DIAMONDS

Below, we briefly explain each of the 4 C's and indicate the characteristics of the diamonds that we sell at MIMÍKOKÓ :

  • 1. COLOR: the degree of color directly affects the appearance of the stone and is influenced by the atomic structure of the diamond, composed of carbon and, in some cases, a very small amount of nitrogen.
  • We offer diamonds with a G or H color, considered white or almost colorless and which have a very slight warmth to the tone that is very difficult to detect with the naked eye. They are diamonds of great value.
  • 2. CARVING: A well-proportioned carving reflects light from one facet to another and produces a dispersion of brilliance across the top.
  • All our diamonds are cut in a brilliant (round) cut and it is the most popular cut and the one that brings out the most intense shine in the diamonds.
  • 3. PURITY: Almost all diamonds contain tiny traces of non-crystallized carbon called inclusions, this makes each stone have its ID. Most are not visible to the naked eye and are only observed with a ten-fold magnifying glass and do not affect the beauty of the diamond at all. However, the cleaner they are, the more exceptional their quality and value will be.
  • The purity of the diamonds that we offer at MIMÍKOKÓ are VS1, VS2 and SI1 . They are characterized by having one or several small inclusions that are not visible to the naked eye and can only be located, often with difficulty, using a 10x magnifying glass. These diamonds are an excellent option as they are considered to have no inclusions visible to the naked eye and are less expensive than VVS grades.
  • 4. WEIGHT: The weight of the diamond is measured in carats. One carat is divided into 100 points. So a 50 point diamond weighs 0.50 carats. One carat is equivalent to 0.200 grams. Therefore, a 5 carat diamond will weigh one gram.
